MICROBLADING
Microblading is a manual skill of semi-permanent eyebrow drawing. Shape of the eyebrows is calculated according to the “phi” ratio (1.618) also known as “golden ratio”, and helps in mapping out facial contour by designing the shape that compliments all facial features. With the help of PhiBrows mobile application and golden intersection eyebrow compass we ensure ultimate symmetry and shape.
This microblading method is perfectly suitable if client wants to correct current eyebrow shape, add volume to brows or fill in sparse areas. It is also suitable for clients with no eyebrow hairs, as we will create a new, beautiful, naturally looking brows. This treatment is ideal if client has suffered from cancer and due to chemo/radio therapy lost brow hairs or suffers from alopecia or other medical condition that resulted in eyebrow hair thinning or loss. This treatment is ideal if client has suffered from cancer and due to chemo/radio therapy lost brow hairs or suffers from alopecia or other medical condition that resulted in eyebrow hair thinning or loss. With microblading treatment we create microbladed hair stroke flow that follows the direction of natural eyebrow hairs, naturally blending in and creating natural finish. The aim of microblading technique is to create the brow that nobody would be able to tell that it has undergone semi-permanent treatment.

PhiBrows Microblading is the artistic technique of tattooing individual hair strokes with a handheld tool called a microblade. Unlike traditional tattooing, which uses a machine, PhiBrows artists hand draw each hair to match the color and coarseness of your eyebrows.
The result? Crisp realistic, natural looking eyebrows.

- Exclusively made for PhiBrows and allow easy application with excellent colour retention.
- Tartrazine free, as it is highly allergic artificial coloring additive. Therefore, risk of your client experiencing allergic reaction is very low.
- It is not possible to develop reddish shadows
- It does not migrate under the skin
- Main advantage of using PhiBrows pigments is that our clients are not exposed to heavy and toxic metals, that usually can be found in 98% of semi-permanent pigment brands.
- Vegan friendly
- PhiBrows Pigments does not contain Paraphenylenediamine (PPD).
PERMANENT MAKE-UP :
- The whole outlined eyebrow is coloured (full effect of coloured eyebrow).
- Procedure is done by a machine and a needle.
- Pigment is inserted in the dermis, the second layer of the ski
MICROBLADING METHOD :
- Every hair is stroked in individually.
- Manual work (handhold and soft blade).
- Pigment is inserted in the epidermis, the first layer of the skin.
- Pigment lightens and retains the applied shade.
Since microblading pigments are not implanted into the skin as deep as traditional tattoos, the area will naturally fade overtime. Microblading typically lasts 1-3 years, depending on skin type (normal, oily, dry), age (youthful / mature).
Skincare routine will also affect the lasting effect of the pigment: patients who tan, uses products with AHA or Glycolic Acid with fade faster as your skin will resurface faster.
Each individual's color retention within the skin will vary. To maintain the brows looking fresh, a touch up is suggested every 12-18 months. Clients can let the microbladed area fade over time, but please note a slight shadow may remain.
The determination of shape is purely subjective. The shape of the eyebrows is chosen together with the client – thick, thin, raised, expressive, etc.
According to the physiognomy of your face we will advise you on shape and possibility of application. We jointly decide on the most suitable shape for you. Symmetry is determined by measuring several features of your face. It can also be done digitally by PhiBrows apps.
The symmetry measurement is performed while your face is totally relaxed and still, with your eyes closed. Over two hundred facial muscles determine our facial expression, so when determining the symmetry it is important they are relaxed, for in this state there is no deviation in length and height.
Preliminary treatment, together with symmetry determination, is crucial for the subsequent perfect treatment.
The natural hairs do NOT get damaged. We draw between the hairs and thus there is no effect on the further growth of natural hairs.
For the first Microblading session, the entire procedure should take about 2.5-3 hours. During this session, the Artist will shape and style the client’s brows for client approval.
The next steps follow with pigment color selection. Once the client is satisfied with the choices, we begin the procedure.
The client is to come in for a follow up visit in order to have any minor necessary touch ups. The second Microblading session takes place after 4-6 weeks after the initial session.
This session will take approximately 1.5-2 hours to complete.
Prior to the procedure your brow technician will apply a topical anesthetic to numb the area, and also reapplied during the procedure.
Everyone responds differently to anesthetic; depending on the client, the feeling of the procedure has been described as light cat scratches to not feeling anything.
After the procedure, redness and slight swelling in the area is normal. Clients describe the area feeling similar to a light sunburn. Clients can take Panadol but not aspirin.
The eyebrow area will be slightly red after the procedure and color will appear very dark. This is normal for the procedure and part of the healing process. The color will fade by up to 40% as it heals.
In the following days, the eyebrows will continue to be dark and you will notice slight scabbing. Do not pick at the scabs as this may damage the skin and the outcome of the microbladed area.
The eyebrows will lighten up in color as it heals. No down time is required after microblading procedure. It takes approximately 7-14 days for the brows to heal over, and about 1 month for the color to fully set in.
You'll notice the color is very light right after the two weeks after healing; the skin will have an opaque milky looking quality to it. This is known as the milk skin and is common in tattooing.
This is due to the the tissue still healing from the inside out even though the surface of the skin is healed. True color will reveal itself once healed.
Yes! A touch up session after 4-6 weeks is necessary as everyone heals differently and outcome will vary. Certain areas may not pick up during first session and will need to be refilled.
Pigment color may need to be adjusted, brow thickness and more strokes can be added. Individuals with oily skin often require a deeper shade during the touch up session as the oils tend to lighten the pigment.
Most importantly, your touch up session is when we refine your brows to ensure it looks perfect and retains the color for the whole year!
Our policy at Eye Designer is we do not perform microblading during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
Often, we cannot. But if the previous tattoo or permanent makeup has faded considerably, sometimes we can. We will have to use a PhiShading technique.
It's great for that! But we recommend sending us a photo of your eyebrows without makeup so one of our artists can review and let you know whether you’re a candidate for microblading.
Yes! Microblading works on all skin tones and colors. If you have oily skin, large pores, Keloid disorder, we do not recommend microblading but PhiShading
As with all cosmetic procedures, individuals should not make their choices lightly. We always recommend clients do their research, understand the procedure and compare different artists' work and portfolio when making their decisions.
Our brows technicians will do their utmost to shape and style the eyebrows to the clients satisfaction prior to the procedure.
Every effort will be made to achieve an even appearance, but please realize our faces are never perfectly symmetrical. Uneven appearance can be fixed during the touch up session.
Pigment discoloration and color correction can also be fixed during the the touch up session. Microbladed brows will eventually fade away if no additional touch ups are done.
