Descaling

A process by which supra- and subgingival scale is removed. Scaling is the action of removing the tartar that has accumulated on the teeth. Unlike dental plaque, scale cannot be removed with a toothbrush. Use is made of curets and/or ultrasound and the teeth are then polished. The aim is to prevent or stop the removal of teeth (parodontosis) caused by bacteria in the tartar. With Hélène Mischol this treatment is painless and with a smile.

Vitamin for teeth

Fluorine treatment

Fluorine treatment is often carried out following dental cleaning. Fluorine is applied to the teeth in the form of a gel. It is like a vitamin for the teeth and helps prevent decay. Dental fluoride combines with the minerals in your teeth to form a stronger enamel that is resistant to acid attacks. When the acids produced by the plaque on your teeth begin to break down the minerals of the dental enamel, a process called demineralization is started. Demineralization begins by weakening the enamel and first creates small caries that can turn into large areas of decayed teeth. Hélène will also perform dental check-ups during treatment.

For a bright smile

Teeth whitening

Over the years, the teeth gradually become colored by drinks, food and tobacco. The purpose of this method is to allow the teeth to return to their original shade. After protecting the gums and snares of the teeth, a gel based on hydrogen peroxide is applied to the teeth and activated by UV light. This method allows a substantial improvement in the whiteness of the teeth in a relatively short time. It should be noted that taking certain antibiotics during childhood may alter the tint of the teeth, giving them a slightly grey tint that reacts less to bleaching.

To Find the Smile

The Separation of Cracks

This process involves sealing the grooves on the biting surfaces of children’s teeth to prevent the development of cavities on these highly vulnerable areas. It is a painless procedure that protects the surfaces without damaging the enamel or dentin. It is important to perform this procedure before any cavities form. After cleaning the grooves, an initial product (an etching solution) is applied to ensure that the sealant properly adheres to the tooth surface. Additionally, Hélène will conduct a dental examination during the treatment to identify and prevent any potential issues.
